merry december first...

happy december first!  it's the first day of another month and that means a fresh, new, and exciting start.  a chance to start all over again.  a new month to get it all right.  i mentioned yesterday that i decided to make a december daily book after much (or little) convincing from the wonderful Pat Serrano.  i put together my book over the last week and here's the cover without a picutre....
i'm still a little lost on what to add to my book but after a few great tips from Elise Blaha, i think i've got a great start to my first book. here's a couple of pictures of the inside....
i'm loving the paper from the 14th day!  i did add a few other Teresa Collins sheets from her Noel collection to my book to make it a true Twenty-Five Days of Christmas book.  i'm hoping to start adding photos by the end of this weekend...wish me luck!

Ps: looking forward to my first Christmas living with my boy!

Thank you very much!! This is my first time doing the December Daily and I'm a little lost trying to figure out what's worthy of a the book, so if you've got any ideas i'd LOVE to hear them. The paper is amazing, i have to agree!

Hi Sophie---
Any ideas? Ohhhh no--LOL. The first year I did random stuff and worked on each page as the days passed. This was probably not a great idea, as I struggled to get the book done. The second year, I used some coordinating paper and pieces ( not from the same line)so that seemed to work out a bit better. Yet I didn't complete it. Both albums I had to go back to way later to finish them up. The Third on was more manageable--or so I thought. I had done all the tags and all I was going to do is add photos to the backside and journal on the pictures themselves. But heck that one took me almost a year to finish...hahahha.
With Ali's foundation concept, I hope to make this more manageable. I crafted the book rather quickly, but didn't adhere anything permentantly--so once I get some ink to print pictures, I'll just get the pages done. I think it was easy to construct because I used all the TC line papers from her X-mas pack.

Point is---don't stress it!! You can take your time.
Good Luck--can't wait to see what you do.

hey girly,

did you post pictures of your past books? i'd LoVe to see them! thanks for easing my stress level..lol! i just started blogging this past summer and am kind of new to this whole posting thing every day. i've fallen behind on my general yearly scrapbook but i really wanted to follow along with Ali's blog + my friend Pat does a Christmas book every year that i've always admired. my book, like yours, is totally put together but no pictures inside. i've sent my pictures off to wal-greens and i'm hoping to get them tomorrow, mount them tomorrow night and have all new posts for this week. wish me luck with that..lol! thanks for your tips on the daily book, it's very appreciated!
